David Sabol began carving at the age of eight and won his first ribbon at age twelve. Upon graduating from Southern Connecticut State College in 1983, David chose carving as his career. His carving is traditional, using knives and chisels to form his creations. His unique ability to give creative expressions to his work has brought novice and advanced carvers alike to David's seminars.

He has also published six books on carving, and his work has appeared in magazines such as Wood Carving Illustrated. David now resides at 678 Bull Run Road in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania with his wife, Laura, and their two children.
